Taipei Yanping South Road

臺北市延平南路行人徒步區計畫

延平南路為臺北歷史重要的軸線之一，其向北與大稻埕迪化街相接，向南穿過北門、撫台街洋樓、中山堂及總統府等重要歷史建築。本計畫奠基於團隊在2016台北白晝之夜軟體展演的策劃經驗，藉由一夜的策展看見線性街道系統成為公共空間的可能性，因此於本案進一步透過硬體空間改善延平南路北門至中山堂，南北總長約380公尺路段，將其塑造成為具歷史意象及人文氛圍人行空間。

Yanping South Road is one of the historical axis of Taipei. It connects with Dadaocheng and Dihua Street in the north and link the historical buildings in the south, such as the North Gate, Futai Street Mansion, Jhungshan Auditorium, and the Presidential Office. This project is based on the experience of 2016 and 2017 Nuit Blanche that operated by BIAS. Through the curation of one-night art festival, we saw the possibility of a linear street system becoming a public space. Therefore, in the pedestrian project of Yanping South Road, we further improved the hardware space from the north gate to Jhungshan Auditorium. The north-south section is about 380 meters long, shaping it into a pedestrian space with historical imagery and humanistic atmosphere.
